Find yourself behind the frames
Because these days we discuss about trends in 2018, Google prepared a surprise at the beginning of the year with an interesting update of the “Art and Culture” application. The application scans your face and searches through millions of plastic art variants to find your twin.
Initially, the online platform was created by Google to allow the general public access to high-resolution (gigapixel) images of works of art hosted by museums that have accepted participation in the project. The project was launched on February 1, 2011 in collaboration with 17 museums. On April 3, 2012, Google announces an extension of a project by signing a partnership with 151 museums from 40 countries.
The application has become viral since the test.
The US has adopted the app in the early days, and examples of entertainment have begun to spread on social networks by itself. According to Recode, last weekend, the app was ranked first, as downloads, of free apps in Google AppStrore.
Thanks to a face recognition technology, this new feature allows users to compare their photos to about 70,000 paintings and sculptures. Some users, such as Reds baseball players in Cincinati, and Bayern Munchen footballers have found these funny comparisons.
For the moment, the app is only available in a few countries, but if you want to try it, you can use a VPN and you will access it without problems.
Have fun 🙂
